The King's Tomb is to the east of the Jama Masjid and is accessed by a connecting doorway. This mausoleum, dating from 1451, houses the tombs of Ahmed Shah I, his son Muhammed Shah II and grandson Ahmed Shah II. It was built during the region of Muhammed Shah. Each of the four corners of the central hall is occupied by a smaller domed chamber with perforated stone screens set in arches. This is where the male members of the royal family were buried. Women are not allowed to enter, and men must wear something to cover their heads before entering. There are also a few minister’s tombs laid out across the road. It lies to the west of Manek Chowk.
