Rani-ka-Hazira, also known as the Tomb of the Queens, lies near Jami Mosque in Ahmedabad. The enclosure where the tombs stand is high above the surrounding streets. The galleries are screened by beautifully wrought stone jails (perforated Stones). The Tomb of the Queens is covered by brilliantly colored pieces of brocade. The carvings on the tombs are also noteworthy.
