These days laundry process is getting mechanised. Many of dhobi ghats are using machines that are running on electricity. Back in the days everything was done by hand. They used wooden bars to wash dirty clothes, but now they have machines to do that, so it's easier. They wash clothes in a machine and use another machine to spin them after that they hang them out to dry.
