Durga Puja- celebrated with pomp and grandeur makes it one of the most widely and joyfully celebrated festivals in the world. Dhak is one of the most essential components of the festival which adds to its essence. Dhakis are the drummers who play the dhak during the festival. Dhakis, here are playing the drums as well as enjoying themselves adding a joyous mood to the celebration. The Dhak is a percussion instrument whose barrel like body is made of mango wood and covered on two ends with cow hide or goat skin.
