This SSB or Sashastra Seema Bal jawan joined the para-military forces to protect India's borders from invasion. Instead, he has been cast into the role of a khacharwala or muleteer, guiding a mule up to Tungnath with his senior officer's wife and daughter (or other family members) riding atop it. If we are to clean up the system in India, we must start by returning the pride of the armed and para-military forces and stopping the sahayak or batty system that makes chaprasis and domestic servants out of jawans and lower-ranking army personnel. Let's clean up India - this too needs to be a part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan! This truly is the malaise in our system...
