The controversial Dabhol power project was back in the news when the US multi national Enron corporation announce when it was restarting arbitration proceeding in London. This followed the failure of Maharashtra government to convey its decision on re-negotiation of the project before the stipulated deadline on the 10th of December 1995. Reacting to this , Shiv sena chief Mr. Bal Thackeray has threatened to scrap the Dabhol power project if Enron tries to push pressure on Maharashtra government. Yogesh Chander Deveshwar, presently the Vice chairman in ITC is to take over as the next chairman of the Indian corporate giant. The Rs. 47 billion or 1.3 billion dollar ITC group. As K.L.
