Pilgrims visiting the Yamunotri temple in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand, one of the four sacred sites of the Char Dham Yatra. The temple is decorated with long garlands of orange, yellow and white flowers, with a steep rocky gorge rising behind the shrine. Devotees queue along railings, descend steps towards the hot spring pool and gather on boulders beside the fast-flowing Yamuna River. Shops, shelters and pink and orange buildings line the narrow valley beneath snow-covered mountain peaks. The footage captures pilgrimage activities at the shrine dedicated to Goddess Yamuna during the pilgrimage season.
