After a light drizzle, fresh Rangoon Creeper flowers blooming on a fence near the office premises. The leaves and flowers look fresh after the shower. Is this not Madhumalti or Quizcolius? These creepers are common in Indian gardens. They are also called as Chinese Honeysuckle although they are not very closely related to Honeysuckles. The flowers are observed to change colour from the initial days of blooming to the days following. This is said to attract more pollinators to the flower. The orientation of the flowers also change from erect to a more circular shape after few days of blooming. They are also considered to be of medicinal value in chinese medicine.
