New city aerial footage over the older city of Old Delhi and the new commercial hub of Connaught Place. One can see the largest mosque in Asia - the Jama Masjid, as well as the Lutyens city of New Delhi created around and after 1911. The more recent multi-storeyed office buildings circle the old Connaught Circus planned city hub. Connaught Place also known as CP (officially Rajiv Chowk) is one of the largest financial, commercial and business hub of Delhi. Named after the Duke of Connaught, a member of the British royal family. Designed by Robert Tor Russell in collaboration with WH Nicholls, the construction work began in 1929 and completed in 1933.
