The deadlock over the Manipur assembly was put to an end after the union cabinet recommended President's rule in Manipur. The state was thrown into constitutional crisis after CM Radhabinod Koijam lost a vote of confidence on may 21st. The cabinet further recommended the state assembly to be put into suspended animation.
