Bhutanese girl makes butter tea at her home. She boils the tea leaves in water, which is allowed to steep until it turns almost black. She pours the tea into churn and adds butter, salt and milk and she churns the tea until it reaches the proper consistency. Butter tea is a drink of the people in the Himalayan regions of Nepal, Bhutan, India (particularly inLadakh, Sikkim) and most famously in Tibet.
