A Bengali salesman at a local fair shows an Indian Pied Hornbill to customers at this Kolkata mela. The meat and the feathers, bones and the casque of the hornbill are said to have medicinal properties in certain parts of India such as in West Bengal. This man seems to be selling a variety of potions and medicines in the bottles in front of him, using the hornbill as an advertisement. Others seen to be selling medicinal herbs.
