A black domestic hen (Desi Murgi, Gallus gallus domesticus) is seen rearing her newly hatched chicks in a straw-lined stall. The hen displays brooding behaviour, a hormonal state where she stops laying eggs and focuses on incubating and caring for her young. She maintains a protective posture, guiding the chicks and signalling them to gather under her wings for warmth and safety. The chicks respond with soft “chup chup” sounds while staying close to the mother. The straw bedding provides insulation and a secure environment for the brood. The scene reflects maternal care and natural rearing behaviour in domestic poultry.
