Take a smooth flight through Khimphu monastery near Tawang in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh in India. A beautiful Buddha statue presides over the ornately painted walls of the hall with vegetable dye paintings and Buddhist thangkas from ancient times. This is a Mahayana Buddhist site of great importance in India, but is barely known even elsewhere in Arunachal Pradesh.
