The traditional Jaleb starts with pomp and show were the devotees play the traditional music instrument know as 'Thonkru', the procession takes place during the Mandi Mahashivratri every year. Traditional Jaleb taken out through the Mandi town, during the International Shivratri Fair. It is one of the important festival that take place at Mandi , all the hill Gods and Goddess palanquin assembles at the Paddal ground for the traditional Jaleb. Mandi, formerly known as Mandav Nagar, also known as Sahor (Tibetan: Zahor), is a major city and a municipal council in Mandi District in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.
