Philanthropists feed the poor en masse and by the thousands along the streets of Delhi, and this has picked up even more after the lockdown, albeit with social distancing and masks being used by all. Here is some pre-Covid imagery. The poor wait in line as NGO's and private soup kitchens bring in food to feed the families of poor patients visiting the All India Institute of Medical Sciences and Safdarjung Hospital, two of the largest hospital in Asia. Poor migrant labourers and residents of rain baseras or shelters for the poo can take advantage of this freed roadside food distribution. Dal - Chaval or rice and lentils are the main food on offer.
