The sudden total lockdown following the Coronavirus outbreak in the country had left thousands on the streets. With no means of livelihood, millions of migrant populations in the cities were forced to move back to their rural natives. Transport services within cities and between states shut, migrant workers were forced to march on foot for thousands of kilometers with no food and drinking water. Migrant workers heading back to different parts of Uttar Pradesh and neighbouring states are fed by charity organisations. Hundreds are seen crowding around the food station. The workers are informed to give space of 4 ft but most of them are not wearing protective masks.
