What an enormous asset for Indian farmers! A solar water pump arrangement not only frees farmers from the need to wait for electricity supply and the cost of power, but makes them self sufficient i drawing ground water with the aid of water pumps and underground submersible motors. This array at the edge of a farmer's field provides adequate power to run a reasonably high Horsepower water motor pump. The Government of India additionally provides subsidies for solar power purchases, so the incentives to go the renewable route are even higher.
