The tradition of classical art in our country is ancient and rich. Organisations like Sahitya Kala Parishad work towards the conservation of Indian classical arts and encourages young talent to pursue such art. Dhrupad is the most ancient style of Hindustani classical music that has survived until today in its original form. The Dhrupad tradition is a major tradition of Indian culture. The nature of Dhrupad music is spiritual. Seeking not to entertain, but to induce feelings of peace and contemplation in the listener. To induce with the magic of Dhrupad music at Sopan Festival day one is Sumeet Anand Pandey. His group includes Mudasir Khan on sarangi, Subhashish Sabhyasachi on pakhawaj and Shruti Sargam on tanpura. Sumeet Anand Pandey belongs to the illustrious Darbhanga dhrupad tradition,
