Police and demonstrators are at a crossroads with each other over the CAA which garnered mass rejection from different regions and communities in India and abroad. Police are seen using tear gas against the demonstrators and throwing stones at the rally marchers and the demonstration turned sour. A number of demonstrations in the country took a sour turn as oppositions against the bill grow and the authorities allegedly considered the opposition as a threat to the state and resorted to the use of force to suppress the protesters.
