Different models of flower beds and pots are display next to a highway in Meerut in Uttar Pradesh. Take a quick look at how they are made by small artisans and workers in their own small establishments. A plastic flower pot model is taken as prototype and cast for the cement pot. The pot is layered with cement mix followed by a thick and coarser layer of cement and sand. This then covered again with a layer of smoother cement mix and smoothened out and allowed to set. Notice how the worker skillfully brushes off the edges before the cement mix is dry.
