Mushroom farming in Pilibhit: Farmer shares his experience of Button Mushroom farming in India: "I am Gurnam Singh of Pilibhit proper. I started with an investment of Rs. 10, 000 for 22 quintals of bhoosa or hay, and labour. I started on 1st October. On 15th March I have started production in 2.50 months. I have made Rs. 30, 000 and made a profit of Rs. 20, 000. The labour usd to sit empty and ghooma awaara. I have taught them. Where they used to work for Rs. 50 per day. They now earn Rs. 200 per day. On has to starts preparing in advance. There are 11-12 paltais. ONe has to see chemicals so no fungus develops. Then no work has to be done."
