A virtual tour of the Augharnath Temple Temple inside and out near Baghpat (actually in Sadar Bazaar) in Meerut. The temple is under construction in the upper floors. The sanctuaries inside the temple gives a glimpse of the rich number of gods in the Hindu mythology and constitutes a major religious and social part of the North Indian society. Colourful gods designed and attired in the likeness of the artists, clothed in jewellery. Rarely seen smiling Durga, a bubbly Shiva and his consort parvati in the form of idols are adorned in jewellery and flower garlands. A puja or ritual is being performed by the temple priest by showering milk on the shivling. The premises of the temple are demarcated by saffron flags and yellow Trishuls or trident, a weapon of Shiva named Vijay. Pura Mahadev Mand
