An Isuzu D Max V Cross MUV vehicle is checked for having pollution under control, at a Yusuf Sarai fuel station run by Hindustan Petroleum. The person checking the vehicle uses a meter that is hooked up by cables to a central computer processing unit that checks the emissions against certain pre-set norms for vehicles of a particular type. A printed PUC certificate is issued and this can be shown to cops who might stop the vehicle on Delhi's roads, to check for fitness and pollution free worthiness.
