Computers get introduced into the everyday lives of Indians in the 1990's. NCERT has started a computer science and IT curriculum for school students in India. Old CRT screens flicker in classrooms as students learn how to use a mouse and navigate a text-heavy complicated computer screen! Primary, middle and secondary school students are all being exposed to IT and computer tools in these early days. Students line up on multiple chairs on an array of old style Windows IBM compatible computers with CRT monitors.
