Naropa Festival also referred to as the Kumbha of Ladakh, was celebrated from September 16 to September 20. The festival celebrates the life and teachings of Naropa, a saint. His teachings also form the core of Buddhist learnings, thus making him a prominent name in Ladakh as well. This is the celebration time where you would see lakhs of people gathering up all over the world to see the concerts as a tribute to Naropa, archery competition, traditional dance performances, panel discussions, food and more. Many people from Bhutan participated in the celebration, These young girls are dancing wearing full Kira with Koma showing off the wonjus.
