Cabbage White caterpillars munch through fresh vegetable leaves

The video shows several Large White butterfly caterpillars (Pieris brassicae), commonly known as Cabbage White caterpillars, crawling across leafy vegetable plants and feeding continuously on the tender foliage. Using their powerful chewing mouthparts, the larvae remove sections of the leaves, leaving behind characteristic holes and damaged edges. This feeding behaviour provides the nutrients needed for rapid growth before they eventually pupate and transform into adult butterflies.
