Lac Bangles are made up of lac which is a scarlet resinous secretion from lac producing insects. Before the lac is moulded into bangles, the raw material is first coated with the desired colours for the bangles. As can be seen, the artisan is coating the raw material from the colour block after heating it over a heat source moving onto the second colour for the bangle. Since the lac was held over the heat source as well it became malleable making it easy to mould into a thin line without breaking or cracking it. Made thinner with the help of a stone roller and broken off from the source into a circular shape that of a bangle.
