The Chakhesang Morung stands as a vibrant “living museum,” offering visitors an immersive glimpse into the cultural richness of the Chakhesang Naga tribe. Designed as a traditional youth dormitory, the morung reflects indigenous architectural knowledge passed down through generations. Built using local materials like wood, bamboo, and thatch, the structure showcases both functionality and cultural symbolism, representing a space where young members of the community once learned values, skills, and traditions. One of its most striking architectural features is the Cekre—a sentry platform positioned at the entrance.
