A Safed Tetar or Grey Partridge / Francolin mum stands on guard near her chicks, preening all the while, with a titehri or Red-wattled Lawing on guard for her own chicks nearby, th two sharing alarm call duties and mothering! The Mama titar proudly struts and stands tall as she looks out for her bachha party. At the call of the Lapwing's alarm, and the follow up call from a Peacock, and a watchful squirrel on alert, all the birds get into alert mode! A Grey Partridge or teetar mum sits camouflaged but also panics for her new-born chicks that gather around her, depending upon camouflage among the brown and dried summer leaves.
