Srinivas says "It is fusion music and I thought I should come out with an album which reflects my attitude and the path which I have chosen in my life. So I thought that why not little bit of Hindustani classical, a bit of Carnatic classical and western music also blending them with western arrangements, I thought I'll do the jam." Srinivas is an engineer who turned to playback singer for Indian films. He studied in Kerala and was coached in Carnatic music by his aunt. In 1988, Srinivas approached music maestro Ilaiyaraaja, who was at the helm of Tamil film music. It was later in 1992, that the soundtrack of Mani Ratnam's Tamil film Roja reignited his dreams of playback singing. Mani Ratnam had introduced composer A. R.
