A rare sight of a small group of lions, a mother and her juvenile cubs are seen dragging the carcass of what looks like a deer into the middle of a road. The road looks like it is not far from a human residential area. The lions seem too engrossed with their meal to notice the headlights of the car in front of them. These lions must be part of the small population of Asiatic Lions that live in the Gir forest of Gujarat. The only wild population of lions in Asia re found here and they are a protected species.
