Archival footage from the 1940's of lotus flowers in India! The clip starts out with water lilies, then a large pond with lotus and even Jacobian lily and crocus lilies. And who knew there was Water Hyacinth or Eichhornia crassipes growing in India that far back, pre-Independence? We thought it came post-Independence and went on to attain weed status!
