National Highway 44 (NH44) is the longest highway in India, which connects Jammu & Kashmir to Kanyakumari. National Highway 44 (NH 44) is the longest National Highway in India, starts from Srinagar and terminates in Kanyakumari. The NH 44 highway has come into being by merging seven major national highways of old number that include NH 1A, NH 1, NH 2, NH 3, NH 75, NH 26 and NH 7. A major stretch of NH 44 is part of North-South Corridor and the Golden Quadrilateral connects several important Indian cities from Srinagar to Kanyakumari.
