An old lane leads to one of the few traditional scissors manufacturing units in Meerut. We filmed few of the workers in the process of giving final polish to the handles of iron and brass scissors. The finished scissors are collected in sackcloths. This craft has seen history and is still important for the skills and livelihood practices dependent on it.
