Due to dense fog and low visibility, nearly 25 vehicles collided on the Yamuna Expressway outside Delhi on 24th January, 2016. The first accident is reported to have occurred at around 8 am. Almost 23 other vehicles were unable to spot this and resulted in a pile-up. There were no casualties and the accident victims all escaped with minor injuries. The fog and accidents resulted in an hour-long traffic jam and a delay in 20 Delhi-bound trains.
