In the last few days, several cases of women's braids being chopped off mysteriously have been reported in Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana and U. P. leading to fear and night vigils. A girl from Firozabad experienced the same her braid being chopped off when she was asleep at her home with her mother. She heard the sound of a scissor at night and found her hair on the floor. This was the irrational fear syndrome that spread across India, wherein women panicked about a mysterious braid chopper or hair cutter who did the rounds at night and stole their hair!
