Guthuk or special Thukpa is a Tibetan dish, a porridge-like dish made from balls of dough containing various fillings. Tibetans traditionally have a family reunion dinner on Tibetan New Year's accompanied by religious activities such as set off firecracker, burn hay, religious chanting to make evil spirits leave one’s house and to embrace the New Year. The whole family then would sit around the table to eat the Guthuk.
