Crowded bazaar set against the backdrop of the Red Fort. Shah Jahan, the fifth Mughal emperor, reigned from 1628 to 1658, and founded the walled city of Shahjahanabad in 1639. Shah Jahan’s palace-fortress - Qila Mubarak (Auspicious Fortress), today known as the Red Fort, is situated within this walled city, as can be seen behind this bazaar.
