These slums have now been replaced with the Chhatisgarh Sadan on Factory Road, behind the Shanti Avedna Sadan. Slums in an Indian city! These slums were located in a posh part of New Delhi, along the main Ring Road near Safdarjung Hospital. Once fine day, after many years of official apathy, they were bull-dozed after warning the residents to look for alternative tenements, and after providing them with a permanent residence at the edge of New Delhi city.
