Director Shaad Ali: "In school, I wanted to be an actor. I thought I could become the next Amitabh Bachchan. When I came to Bombay, I saw the struggle of an actor. I realized this is a director's medium. A director's work does not finish since before the film is made and till after its release. I went to boarding school and did not attend many filmi parties. It was very important for me that my first film be successful.
