Amjad Farid Sabri, a celebrated voice of the Sufi qawwali tradition, shared his excitement about contributing to the Bollywood film Halla Bol. He described this opportunity as a significant milestone, as it marked his first time singing for Hindustani Bollywood. Expressing gratitude, he mentioned how honoured he felt to work with director Rajkumar Santoshi. Sabri emphasised the importance of qawwali, calling it a powerful and spiritually rich musical form. He highlighted that the film brings back the authentic “qawwali anga” (essence), something he felt had been missing in many previous Bollywood films. Starting his Bollywood journey with a song rooted in devotion—linked to the spiritual idea of “Ali ka darbar”—made the experience even more meaningful for him. According to Sabri, Halla Bol
