A mounted parade held on the 30th of March 2013 to commemorate the completion of 240 years of service by the President's Bodyguards. The President of india Dr. Pranab Mukherjee presented a Silver Trumpet and Trumpet Banner to his guards. The PBG, being the President of India's own troops, has the unique honor of being the only regiment in the Indian Army that is privileged to carry the President's Silver Trumpet and The Trumpet Banner. In a ceremonious presentation, the President of India bestows the distinguished trumpet and the trumpet banner to his bodyguard. The trumpet banner has the Ashoka Lions as well as the initials of the President of India. The PBG was raised in the year 1773, in Benaras by then Governor General, Sir Warren Hastings, with strength of 50 handpicked troopers. They
