A celebration of Dussehra festival in Kullu in Himachal Pradesh. People hold Palanquin of Lord Jagannath while Himachali women dance in the background. Men play large traditional metal horns, thonkru (large brass or other metal) while others dance to the tone of Dhols and these traditional horns. One can see people hold each other's hands and form a circle while dancing. A procession of revelers from across Himachal Pradesh converges at the Kullu Maidan, for the Kullu Dussehra festivities to begin. Some people carry the palanquins of the gods, others get into a trance as they help, and a range of indigenous Himachali musical instruments is played as accompaniment.
