Goats lined up for sale at Sonepur Mela in Bihar. See their owner sits with them holding a bamboo stick. Sonepur fair dominates with a different variety of birds, poultries, cattle, the stalls of which all smeared up in the colorful attires and handicraft store. Stalls at the Sonepur Mela get all loaded with items like agricultural implements, garments, perfumes, handicrafts, utensils in wood and brass. An annual cattle fair that titles to one of the biggest in Asia, Sonepur Mela is the pride of northern Bihar. The fair is held on the banks of the sacred river Ganga, where it confluences with its tributary, Gandak. Going by the pattern of the stars, the fair takes place on the auspicious dates of Kartik Poornima (full moon day) in the month of November every year. Some prefer to call this
