Desperate citizens pay black money prices for a single oxygen cylinder, in order to save their family members from Covid19. With a complete breakdown of government machinery and medical services, and enormous shortages as a result of the second Covid wave triggered by the Kumbh Mela and state elections in India, poor citizens have been left to their own devices to arrange medical supplies from black marketeering dealers and suppliers, with little or no aid from the government. India is suffering hundreds of thousands of deaths from Covid19 and the situation is dire, and most medical machineries have collapsed.
