The new phalanx of government buildings in New Kidwai Nagar seem to go against the Delhi height restrictions or then the rules of Lutyens' Delhi, but do rules even apply to the GOI? Was the massive steel and iron structure on Barapullah justified or even needed? Could it not have been built metal light? Why make our cities so iron and structural heavy? Whatever happened to DUAC - the Delhi Urban Arts Commission? Does it find such structures to be beauty kosher?
