All the time that I spent in Nepal I noticed something so simple yet so surprising. Nepalese women are the ones who take charge of running the household. They work day in and day out in order to earn a life for themselves and their families. Here these ladies can be seen lifting heavy stones in a jute basket supported against their back from their head. They were doing this extensive work in bathroom slippers in muddy areas after the summer-monsoon hit Nepal. Other than these women, every homestay or business in Nepal is handled and run by the women of the house.
