Shia Muslims offering chaadar at the grave of Tazia on the day of Chup Tazia at Karbala ground in Delhi. On the 8th day of Rabi' al-awwal the third month of Islamic calendar, Chup Tazia is observed by the Shia muslims of India and Pakistan. This procession of Chup Tazia marks the end of the mourning procession that begins in the Islamic month of Muharram. The procession of Chup Tazia originated in Lucknow. It was started by Nawab Ahmed Ali Khan Sahukat Yar Jung during the Nawabi era. It is one of the most crucial processions of Azadariin Lucknow.
