Rukmani Nursery in Ghorakhuri is one of the finest horticulture projects in Uttarakhand, even in the entire western Himalaya. Is the apple variety Oregon Spur or Organ spur - what is the variety called? It grows at a lower altitude of 1200 to 1500 meters above sea level. Birender Singh Aswal planted these apple trees in 2005-2006 so they are almost 15 years old now. He shows us the tree from which he prepares apple seeds for saplings and then uses those saplings for grafting of better varieties. Delicious red apples on a tree, awaiting harvest.
